New HBO comedy series Flight of the Concords
airs June 17th at 10:30 PM. I have a small, recurring role as Eugene,
the landlord.
Adult Swim’s new animated series Lucy, Daughter
of the Devil will start airing sometime this summer. The
show was created by Loren Bouchard (who co-created Home Movies and
produced Dr. Katz). It stars Jon Benjamin, Jon Glaser, Melissa Bardin
Galsky, Sam Seder, Todd Barry and me. I voice a screechy, gruff
nun.
Check out my weird, but delightful futuristic low-sci-fi talk
show shorts Space
Talk From Dimension Eugene, as well as other new shorts and
series I’m making for them (which will appear throughout the
summer).

Eugene is doing a blog for the Village Voice.
You can go to http://www.villagevoice.com/blogs/eugene/ to see it. There are some phone calls, videos, and stories. Some you may have seen, some are new.

ANTI GAY PHONE COMPANY
Starting in late December I began to get phone calls from what I thought was a phone company (United American Technologies) trying to get me to switch from my phone company to a Christian one that didnÕt support gay marriage and pornography. It was so weird and creepy that I decided to record them. There are three calls (I, II, III). It turns out that they are from a non-profit that works with United American Technologies and calls people on their behalf. UAT then donates money to them. I think this non-profit stopped making these calls, but UAT still has many other organizations making the calls for them I believe. Though they claimed to donate 10% of their profits to ministries I think the money actually went into an Oklahoma Republican political campaign, but some of it may go to Churches and ministries, IÕm not sure. The whole thing is confusing and spooky. But enjoy the calls. You can also read this article from the New York Sun for more information.

TINKLE DVD
Eugene will be appearing on the Tinkle (a show hosted by Todd Barry, David Cross and Jon Benjamin) DVD for Subpop records. The tapings for it are in Seattle the 20th and 22nd of May at The Showbox theater.

MIDNIGHT PAJAMAJAM DVD
Eugene was part of the Midnight Pajamajam tapings for their forthcoming DVD. This is a fake talk show hosted by Jon Benjamin and Jon Glaser (who plays two puppets, a fiery, loud-mouthed eagle, and a quite, but confident octopus) with make-believe guests (of which Eugene was one).

Every Wednesday
A weekly show produced by Eugene and Bobby Tisdale at Cinema Classics (332 E 11, between 1st and 2nd). Each show will feature about 5 performers (standup, sketch, video and who knows) creating something fun and weird for every show. 8 PM, $5. Many of the performers have appeared on television! (Holy shit, yes!) Including: Conan, Comedy Central, Letterman, Mr. Show, Daily Show, Dr. Katz and movies and such. Some have not. Always delightful and special.
